Abstract
At the start of this research, our aim was to gather information that enabled us to make comparisons between the Hungarian Racka that are alive today and their ancestors. The importance of this breed throughout history and its influence on Hungarian identity even today is undeniable. Foremost in our research was the magnificent and unique Racka horns and the associated skull parameters. In order to appreciate this, information regarding the development of horns in general, the factors that influence such growth and the function of horns was gathered.
