Preliminary study on the effectiveness of a mycotoxin binder feed additive (BioSorb® MA) in broilers
Abstract
One hundred forty-four straight run day-old broiler chicks of ROSS 308 strain were raised in stainless steel brooding cages at a density of 12 broilers per m2, until 21 days of age to compare a dietary mycotoxin binder BioSorb®MA with a competitor product. The four different treatment diets were: 1) Broiler starter diet containing no toxins (negative control); 2) broiler starter diet with toxins equivalent to 3.2mg/kg T2 toxin (positive control); 3) The positive control diet with 2g/kg BioSorb®MA and 4) Positive control with 2g/kg mycotoxin binder competitor product.
