dc.description.abstractThe goal of the study is to assess the effectiveness of the adiabatic cooling system, a type of evaporative cooling system. The mechanism of action is that the cooler has an air system and a wetting system. As the cooler contributes with additional water to the air, energy will be used from the environment to change the physical form of the water from liquid to vapor. This transaction requires energy from the air, thus leading to a decrease in the air temperature. While decreasing air temperature in the holding, relative humidity may increase if insufficient ventilation and air outlet is applied. Further we evaluated the occurrence of heat stress based on measurements obtained from the meteorological center located in Pápa and environmental parameters, air temperature and relative humidity collected by Voltcraft DL 120 logger situated in three chosen localities, one in open housing and the other two in closed housing localities. The measured parameters were further used to calculate the temperature humidity index, THI1 and THI2 which will serve as an indicator of possible occurrence of heat stress.en_US
