| dc.description.abstract | The dog's evolution has come a long way, from the wild wolf ancestor to the first dogs that sought themselves to the first humans till today's extreme different breeds. Humans have been selectively breeding dogs to fulfill certain working tasks as for example herding, hunting and guarding which has altered the disposition amongst the breeds to different extents.
The definition of dangerous dogs has been discussed several times discussing whether it depends on a certain type of breed or if it's linked to the way they are trained. This following thesis will concern the so-called dangerous breeds and dog bites towards humans and take into account several different studies, articles, and books which points to several different conclusions of what that definition of dangerous dogs in fact are.
The aim of this thesis is to get a deeper understanding of what are the "dangerous dog breeds" and what are the factors causing certain breeds to be more prone to bite humans. | en_US |
