Abstract
A scientific understanding on this controversial subject is also beneficial toward the breeders of such dogs, in order to raise awareness on the harmful impact of improper breeding, and emphasize the importance of safe and legitimate breeding. I decided to focus my attention on 3 neurological disorders that interested me and are relatively common issues for clinical veterinarians today. Throughout my thesis I will be focusing on Epilepsy, Narcolepsy and Deafness in dogs. Firstly, I would like to give those less schooled in the subject of genetics, a brief summary on some basic genetic terms for a more thorough understanding of my thesis work.
