dc.description.abstractSUMMARY The aim of this article is to introduce fluralaner, a new, orally applied isoxazoline ectoparasitic agent. The author discusses the mechanism of action, resist-ance, antiparasitic spectrum, toxicity and side effects of fluralaner. The second part of the paper presents the results of a survey including 4222 dogs in Hungary treated with the active substance, emphasizing the satisfaction of veterinarians and owners, the incidence of side effects, and in addition the lack of interactions with other drugs and possible side effects occurring in dogs suffering of certain chronic diseases.en_US
