Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) is an emerging therapeutic tool for dysbiosis in veterinary medicine. FMT has proven to be effective in human recurrent Clostridium difficile infection (rCDI), where its protocols and research have been the foundation of the recent studies on FMT treatment in veterinary medicine. It is important to understand the effects of the gut microbiome on both local and systemic processes, and how we can use the information obtained from the microbiota to treat diseases.en_US
