This thesis investigates the current state of canine total hip replacement (THR) by comparing three different systems: the Biomedtrix BFX & CFX systems, the Zurich system, and the Helica System. The focus of the thesis is on the Biomedtrix systems, its advantages and disadvantages in comparison to the other two systems, and on the BFX cementless system in the cases studied. The study begins with a comprehensive review of the current state of THR in canine, including the history, techniques, materials, and outcomes of the surgery.en_US
