Abstract
Veterinary medicine is a constantly developing field, with new imaging methods such as CTs and MRIs becoming more easily available. These new diagnostic methods may permit earlier and more precise diagnosis, which can lead to a better prognosis. However, these new technologies come with a high cost, that many pet owners cannot afford. As a future veterinarian, I thrive for giving the best possible care to diseased pets while causing them as little discomfort as possible, however I do understand not all pet owners can afford the treatments required to treat their beloved pets.
