Abstract
At present there are approximately 1000 breeding females. A survey, currently being conducted by The Kerry Cattle Society Ltd., shows that Kerry cattle births for the year 2011 numbered 288 males and 328 females, giving a total of 616. Out of these, 98 males and 293 females were registered with the society. Not all males are registered and some females may not have been registered until this year.
