Abstract
Pollutant content of the sewage sludge did not exceed the 50 / 2001 Limits laid down in the Government Decree. In our experiment, one control and three different doses of therapy applied. Our experimental plants were from sprout of the white poplar were grown white poplar seedlings. In treatment employed sewage sludge by the plants are rich in immediately useable nutrient. The examinations made from diagrams we could establish, that the plants reacted on treatment of sewage sludge bigger with growth rate as in sandy soil were grown white poplar seedlings. With sewage sludge employed the plants, were healthier phenotypically, the color of letters were vivider, darker than the untreated plants. In consequence higher nutrient is intense growth, higher density and larger surface leaves developed, which had higher chlorophyll content. From Püspökladányi sludge contained more nutrients, this has resulted in intense photosynthesis. The top leaves of the white poplar seedlings got available amount the nutrients, so they were able to actively photosynthesis. The results of the physiological tests were not observed toxicity of the sewage sludge on the white poplar, the leaves of plants measured maximum photochemical efficiency, which reached 80% value, that this is optimal for most plant species. The vitality index value of the white poplar seedlings has not fallen below the significant stressors level 2 because of sewage sludge treatment. The sewage sludge increased organic material content of sand soil, so it improved soil fertility, microbial activity and nutrient supplying capacity.
