The 2015 hospital outbreak of Equine Infectious Anemia in Hungary
Absztrakt
The aim of our study is to describe a rare but very detrimental hospital outbreak of EIA in Hungary. We will present the clinical description of the index case, the situation within the hospital, the outbreak dynamics and all the control measures that were taken by the authorities to limit the spread of the disease and eradicate the virus. We will also show the similarities with the Irish hospital outbreak and the differences between the transmission and clinical disease during a hospital outbreak and in the general population.
