Abstract

SUMMARY The authors describe the two most important feline pathogens from the Retroviridal family, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukaemia Virus (FeLV). In the first part of the series the aetiology, epidemiology, pathomechanism and clinical findings of FIV infection is discussed.
