In the study of congenital diseases, it is clear that there is a complexity in the pattern of inheritance. Embryogenesis is a detailed and fragile development of a living organism that can easily be disturbed. There are many factors that can influence the formation of a growing fetus, some that are out of our control and some we are able to prevent. Luckily, the body as an organism has adapted and learned to eliminate some of these hazards, even before birth.en_US
