An Investigation into the Role of Dung Beetles in the Control of Gastrointestinal Nematode Larvae Numbers

Abstract

This study investigated the effects of dung beetles on the development of infective gastrointestinal nematode larvae. This was performed by way of a field trial involving the construction of experimental dung pats using strongyle infected equine dung, and the manipulation of dung beetle colonisation.
