Breeding strategies of flat bred thoroughbred racehorses in Ireland and Great Britain

Abstract

The aim of this study is to give detailed illustration of the breeding strategies employed at a small commercial breeding stud farm, and also to give a general overview of the Breeding Strategies that are in use and that were previously in use and that could be used in Ireland and England in Thoroughbred flat racehorse breeding along with a statistical study of the top 50 two year olds in 2015.
