Abstract

This study examines the effects of long-term mowing on the composition and diversity of semi-natural grasslands on Hill Somló in the Western Cserhát region of Hungary. Mowing was used to control the dominance of native invasive species like Calamagrostis epigejos and promote a more balanced plant community, with the goal of improving the grassland's ecological and agricultural value for sheep grazing.
