Abstract

The name of the Paint Horse is based on the Spanish word „pintado“ which means „painted“. „The paint horse can be traced not only in the art of ancient civilizations but in the spotted Oriental horse brought from the plains of Eurasia by the Huns and other barbaric tribes during invasions of the Roman Empire about 500 A.D.
