| dc.description.abstract | Despite decades of considerable research efforts, concerns regarding the prevalence of hip dysplasia in dogs persist to this day worldwide. A strong correlation has been shown between increased laxity of the hip joint, the occurrence of hip dysplasia, and associated degenerative changes and clinical signs. The purpose of this paper is a systemic review of the current approaches to hip joint laxity in the canine population, with particular emphasis on diagnostic techniques, palpation, and radiology, in addition to applicable treatment options. | en_US |
