The development of a herbal preparation for the treatment of diarrhea in dogs

Abstract

This thesis treats the development and therapy documentation of a phytotherapeutical preparation which can be used in treatment of diarrhoea in dogs. The Department of Botany at the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest first implemented this topic out of an increasing demand of phytotherapy in small animal medicine. The development of this herbal remedy was based on scientific literature about the active metabolites and their therapeutical properties in veterinary medicine.
