Abstract
My goal with this thesis work was to collect information regarding dog deaths in different long distance sled dog races. I was able to collect history from four long distance races (The John Beargrease Sled Dog Race, The Yukon Quest 1000 Mile International Sled Dog Race, Finnmarksløpet and The Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race), which included 59 reported deaths over a period of three decades.
