dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this thesis study is to explore the impact of BSE on Ireland and UK. The aim being to highlight the epidemiology of the disease as well as its prevalence. Following that, the study will examine other forms of TSE’s effecting public health. It will also discuss an overview of the existing disease surveillance, legislation and control measures in place. Finally, the future of the ruminant feed ban will be discussed and what it means for Europe.en_US
