dc.description.abstract | Since 2012, Associated Liver Partition and Portal vein ligation for Staged hepatectomy (ALPPS) has been well debated and a huge part of modern liver surgery. This new approach has proved to be a valuable method in treating of hepatic tumours, including those previously regarded as an impossible task.
Though, this novel method has also raised several questions. However valuable this might be, there are many controversies, such as a relatively high mortality and morbidity rates.
This study was performed to assess the difficulties of ALPPS technique in swine and how well it applies in the human surgery. | en_US |
