Slow calving syndrome in dairy cows
Abstract
The aim of this thesis was to describe what slow calving syndrome (SCS) means, how SCS develops, how to treat and prevent it.
Initially, the thesis describes how parturient hypocalcaemia may cause primary uterine inertia resulting in the condition known as SCS. Secondly, the thesis describes the aetiology of SCS. Finally, the thesis describes treatment and prevention of SCS.
