dc.description.abstract | SUMMARY
Five Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae strains isolated from pathological lesions
could not be assigned into any of the 15 serotypes using the indirect haemag glutination test. Hyperimmune sera raised in rabbits against them gave positive
reactions with the homologous and the other four strains but did not react with
the type strains. All five strains harboured apxIA, apxIB, ApxII and ApxIV genes.
A new serovar of A. pleuropneumoniae — serovar 16 — is proposed with A. pleuropneumoniae A-85/14 as reference strain. | en_US |
