dc.description.abstract | SUMMARY
The authors review the history of fowl cholera vaccination with special regards
to the Hungarian situation. They also present the currently available vaccines in
Hungary. The different vaccine development efforts and the difficulties of virulence
reduction without loosing the efficacy are discussed. Knowing the role of
individual genes in protectivity helps to develop subunit vaccines with DNA or
protein component, but heterogeneity of the bacterium and serotype specific
protection connote difficulties of broad range application and host specificity. | en_US |
