In 2019, the cheese consumption on average was 18,42 kg per capita in Europe (statista). During the 7 year period between1997 and 2004, the worlds cheese production increased by around 10%. For hard cheese, the number for the same time period is 7%, from 3291- to 3525 -thousand tonnes.en_US
