dc.description.abstract | Feline hyperthyroidism is a common disease in middle-aged to geriatric cats which can affect multiple organs. Concurrent diseases may contribute to worsening the physical state of felines well as the outcome of the treatment in hyperthyroid cats. Veterinarians should consider hyperthyroidism as a differential diagnosis for all presenting ill geriatric felines. The following thesis will summarise the present literature, reports and studies regarding hyperthyroidism, its treatment, and its effect on physiology. | en_US |
