dc.description.abstractOne of the most common diseases that affects dairy herds in Ireland, and can cause significant losses is mastitis. There are many factors that contribute to the occurrence of mastitis. Milking hygiene, disinfectant and housing are just some issues that can add to this. 30 farmers completed a survey based on the general management of mastitis. Their responses demonstrated different levels of management depending on cost, hygiene, treatment and symptoms observed.en_US
