dc.description.abstractOne of the most common diseases seen in small animal practice is obesity which has several factors which may lead to its disposition. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of the owners in the etiology of the disease as well as the overall attitude towards life-style and nutrition on the Maltese Islands. That being said a total of 50 questionnaires were collected, 35 of which were filled in by owners who had “normal” dogs and 15 of which were filled out by owners who had overweight to obese dogs.en_US
