| dc.description.abstract | This literature review provides a comprehensive overview and analysis of the epidemiology
of equine zoonotic viruses. It focuses on the critical question of which viruses have and will
continue to play significant roles in the relationship between humans and equids due to
current trends such as globalization and climate change. To accomplish this, an extensive
review of scientific papers and books, as well as general supporting reports, spanning from
1978 to 2023, was done. This work comprises a literature review, an analysis of the current
