Molecular Markers in Haematological and Haemostasis disorders of Animals
Abstract
Molecular markers play a key role in the diagnosis, development, prognosis and subsequent
management and therapeutic options of many diseases in the medical field. Their use in
medicine have proven to have many benefits, not only in the veterinary field but also for
further understanding those diseases associated with public health. Through their
identification, the characterisation and treatment options available for haematological
disorders of both companion and production animals have advanced in recent years.
However, limitations still exist, and further investigations are required to define their
pathognomonic significance and increase their potential for everyday clinical use.
