dc.description.abstract | This thesis presents a comparative analysis of the structure, function and pathology of the spleen in humans and small animals (dogs). The study begins with an exploration of the embryology, anatomy and histology of the spleen in both species, highlighting similarities and differences in their development and structural adaptations. It further examines the physiological roles of the spleen, such as blood filtration, erythrocyte storage and immune response and how these functions are adapted to the specific needs of each species. | en_US |
