Effective management of gastrointestinal signs in dog and cat patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) is crucial, as addressing these symptoms not only enhances the quality of life but also supports overall renal health and mitigates further complications associated with the disease. Clinical manifestations such as nausea, vomiting, and anorexia are frequently observed in patients suffering from chronic kidney disease. The International Renal Interest Society recommends the treatment of suspected nausea with antiemetics and the treatment of decreased appetite with appetite stimulants for small animal patients with CKD.en_US
