Temperament is a moderately stable characteristic, which shows individual differences and can be detected in individual behavioral patterns. Certain dimensions of temperament can be investigated in the early stages of development by studying negative emotional states in adequate experimental contexts. In the Strange Situation procedure, which we employed in our study, both infant temperament and attachment types can be studied.en
