The occurrence of Digital Dermatitis in Norwegian Dairy Cattle

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the occurrence of DD in Norwegian dairy herds. The chosen method compares two different areas. One area has a big livestock population, the other has an average livestock population. The goal is to identify any differences in the areas and to see if any conclusions can be drawn from these findings. The research will focus on the amount of DD cases, and the stages and severance of these. Another goal is to identify the farmers level of knowledge of DD.
