A retrospective study of the expression of TNFalpha in canine chronic enteropathies

Abstract

In this retrospective study, we study the expression of the cytokine TNFalpha in the GI tract of canine patients with chronic enteropathies. We are interested in investigating if there is a correlation between the expression and the treatment response group of the patient. By using an RNAscope method we analyze and quantify the cytokine from previously endoscopically retrieved FFPE-samples of the GI tract at the laboratory. With the statistical data we compare the cluster per area mean expression, and spot per area mean expression of both the GI tract as a whole and the duodenum of the examined patients to the different CIE groups.
