Investigation into the prevalence of Subclinical Ketosis and other metabolic disorders linked in peri-parturient dairy cows in seasonal calving dairy herds

Abstract

The aim of my study was to Investigation into the prevalence of Sub Clinical Ketosis and other metabolic disorders linked in peri-parturient dairy cows in seasonal calving dairy herds. A total of 502 dairy Holstein cows from 11 herds were tested post calving (7-21 days )in the vicinity of Kanturk, Cork, Ireland using the Keto-Test indicator provided by Elanco for Sub Clinical Ketosis and other peri-parturient diseases also recorded.
