dc.description.abstract | The two main retroviral infectious agents being discussed in this investigation are the Feline leukaemia virus (FeLV) and Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). The objective of this review is to introduce a new methodology on the diagnostic examination for retroviral infections taking into consideration the epidemiological and pathogenetic characteristics pertinent to the identification of FeLV and FIV agents. There is a major opportunity for accurate diagnosis for these permanent infections with a technique referred to as RNAscope® in situ hybridization assay. | en_US |
