dc.description.abstract | Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis (MAP) is the causative agent of Johne’s Disease (JD), also known as Paratuberculosis, because of the similar appearance to Mycobacterium bovis, the cause of bovine tuberculosis. Listed by the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) as a bacterial disease of ruminants, Johne’s has a wide range of hosts, including cattle, sheep, deer and camelids. | en_US |
