The domestic chicken Gallus gallus domesticus belongs to the poultry species, from the
order Galliformes and the family Phasianidae. The maternal ancestor of the domestic
chicken is recognised from the domestication of the Red Junglefowl G. Gallus originated of
Southeast Asia (Lawal et al., 2020; Parkhurst & Mountney, 1988; Laatsch, 2022). G. Gallus
domesticus, by definition, refers to birds kept in captivity to produce products of economic
value. In other words progress and selection means leads to say that G. Gallus are bred
mainly for their meat and for their eggs (Parkhurst & Mountney, 1988). Generation by
generation, selection for certain characteristics, such as physical properties, led to the
development of varieties (Laatsch, 2022).
