Abstract

ABSTRACT In the publication the authors present the circumstances of the anthrax cases occurred in the summer of 2014, and the applied animal health administrative control measures. After a brief description of the causative agent and the rules of preventation, they describe the events occurred in the region of Tiszafüred in a chronological order. They discuss the conclusions of the epidemiological investigation and the applied veterinary control measures applied followingly, and present the measures of Policy Administration Services of Public Health. Finally, the sanctions imposed because of the revealed infringements are summarized.
